Alright, so here we go again. Since school has started I don't know if I've had a "normal" week. Things have been kind of crazy. It's hard to believe I am already far enough along in my classes to start having tests but I guess I am. Things have been crazy because of juggling school, work, horses, scuba, and regular stuff but that's just life right? Riiiiight :) Speaking of school and schooly things my surfing class is never dull. We have been practicing standing up on the board the last couple of times. For those of you who are inquisitive on how we are accomplishing such a task without a necessary component, something called the OCEAN I will tell you now. Well, not RIGHT now but close enough. I hate when people just blabber and blabber when you want...what was I saying? I can't remember now. Some guy next to me keeps chatting to me. Who'da thunk Shwan would be a chatty cathy? Boys *shakes head* I am Kaiya and I like to clean stalls like Merlin and I like to have my horse, Scout, lick the boogers our of my nose. I also have a peg leg now because my cousin Jared turned into a cannibal with almost dreadlocks! Cows are almost as smart as me.*Said in a monotone voice like a, a, a, a DALEK* Some of the surfboards have little loops of rope attached to them that my instructor clipped a long rope to and then "harnessed" himself to the long rope and pulled us. We were suppose to pretend that when the board started to move that the wave was starting to pull us down. So imagine us, in a swimming pool looking at the snow outside waiting for the board to move and "surf down the wave". COWABUNGA! Is about all I can say about that. So because I have two classes consecutive classes before my surfing class I wear my swimsuit to class and bring clothes to change into. On Wednesday I unfortunately forgot a vital piece of clothing. What's under there? Not underwear. I experienced going commando for the first, and hopefully last time. After having jeans ride up my crack I now wonder why people would chose to go commando. Never again. Ever.
Some of you might know about Shayli's experiment to see what hand soap works the best. She contaminated petri dishes and then swabbed different soaps in different dishes and let it grow for three weeks. For clarification, she swabbed the whole plate with the soap not just one area. I want to see what you, the Ramble Onians (my blog is called Ramble On and you're currently reading it hence...) think of the pictures taken. The poll should be over there. To the left. Riiiiight there. Yup that's the one. And here are the pictures, though I'm only uploading the first two week because the third died. And if you don't think the Nu Skin brand did the best at killing bacteria don't be afraid to vote against it. My dad isn't as mean as he looks. It's all just an act to make people think he's still a tough guy even though he's surrounded by estrogen 24/7. Though he is as bald as he looks. That's not an act.

I have received some questions about the internship. I am leaving September 2012 and the internship lasts six months. But because of how long my visa lasts I might stay until an extra few months to work and possibly get volunteer hours. I recently heard that there is an organization that works with marine animals somewhere a long the Sunshine Coast. The internship is non-paid but I'm still really excited and hope it turns out to be a good experience where I learn a lot.
As of Saturday at 12:53 pm I am now a certified scuba diver. I finished my certification this Friday and Saturday up at the Crater in Midway. I went as deep as 40 feet. It was pretty cool stuff. I'm so glad it's done though. Phewwy! Other news includes I'm going to start my half lease on Scout in a few days. That's pretty cool :) Oh and Merlin was pretty great Friday. I've included a clip but some background so it makes more sense. Merlin in King Arthur's personal servant and is trying to get the keys off of Arthur. Arthur doesn't know Merlin is magic.
REALLY quick(yes I kan be brief). I heard sometime last week from the intern people about a group that is interested in me interning for them. I heard later in the week from them again with an article said group had published. Said group wanted me to read it to see if I would be interested in interning for them. They deal mainly with coral and CO2 levels in the ocean. At least that's what their paper made it seem like. This is something I am interested in but since I'm trying marine biology as a different avenue from a vet to working with animals I emailed the intern place and asked how likely it was that I could be placed where I'll work with animals. I haven't heard back from the intern place so I have nothing more to report. I'll let you know when more is shown to me. In the mean time see if the Chucky Story (for you Aunt T :)) works. I have it in two different formats so hopefully one works for you and your computer abilities.
Poor, poor Merlin. Didn't your father ever tell you not to jump in front of a crazy screaming ghoul? All that does is anger me because I had to wait a whole week to see how you didn't really die and how you're going to stop Arther from sacrificing himself which will ruin Morgana's evil plans. Other than a horribly long week of waiting (which was intensified by my evil parents ploy to destroy my spirit with a spontaneous trip to Disney World WITHOUT ME) the first week of school has been good.
Those aren't really beads, they're microbombs that are triggered by girls in matching clothes

Riding the Tea Cups of Doom shhhh! Don't tell them!
Mom and dad missed us so they had Mik and Shay pose as Tristan and Me
I'm only taking 14 credits this semester so I'm hoping things will be a lot better than previous semesters. For those of you who care I'm taking Mammology, Evolution and Ecology, Comparative Physiology Lab, Statistics, and Learning to Surf. In my surfing class we have practiced paddling, turning quickly, and balancing on the large styrofoam boards. As basic as that sounds there were people who had trouble with it. I fell off twice and I'll tell you what, Karma doesn't forget. When I say we learned how to turn quickly we'd paddle and then sit up on our boards and do a 180 to go the way we'd come. The first time I did it my crowded group swam out no problems but then we got to where we needed to turn around and go back problems arose. Because there were so many of us I hit the guy next to me with my board just as he sat up to turn his board around. This made me loose my balance, I fell in, and my board landed on top of him. Of course he had fallen in as well because I don't know many people who can take a Shamu(meaning the board landed on him like a whale out of the water) from a surfboard, shrug their shoulders, and carry on. I told him sorry and got out of there in-case he was an assassin. Everything went much more smoothly until I was turning around for my fourth time and WACK! The same guy I had hit was trying to turn his board around and hit me. Turns out he was a horrible assassin and justice was served for everyone. It didn't hurt when the board hit but it was enough of a blow to knock me off.
Kelcie is coming home to watch Merlin with me tonight. Yay Merlin!!! :D Saturday a bunch of us are going to Sam Hawk(Korean shin-dig) for dinner and then we might watch Zombieland. I keep hearing it's really funny so my interest is peaked.
Also my parents are coming home Saturday so that will be good to have them home suffering the cold and not at the happiest place on Earth without me. I should be hearing from the internship people sometime in the next month or so so I'll keep you posted. Well, ttfn ta ta for now :)
