Advertise Here

One last post for the month of July. Only a few more days and it'll be August, and I better have a ruby dragon by then or else *shakes fist threateningly* HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the people who were, are, and will be born on this day!! You know who you are (because I certainly don't!). It's only 10:21 and it's already one of those weird days. You know those days I'm talking about? The kind of day when you're getting off UTA's Trax and some guy that was sitting next to you gets up and puts his hand on your shoulders and says something like "I don't want to embarrass you but your fly is down". Which you reply with a enthusiastic "Is it?!" but wait to remedy the situation until you get off the UTA Trax and zip up your pants with a smile on your face which makes you look like you enjoy zipping zippers a little too much, which actually may be true and why as a kid your mom never bought you things with zippers on them. Now that you've realized all this for the first time you think of your imaginary friend and now can see the resemblence between your friend and a zipper. No wonder your friend always made a weird zip! noises when it talked. Today has been only half that weird. I didn't have imaginary friends because I've always had too many little sister than need regular picking on or else they'll become an average citizen and we all know how normal those people are!

Here is a link to the pictures I took while on my voyage to Montana and back again. MEP! *link appears from nowhere noticable because everyone around suffers from temporary blurred vision as the link is lifted up from below* LINK The strange thing about this link is that until I put it just there *points to link* I was the only one able to access it yet it says most of the photos have been viewed at least eight times. Weird.

I have 55 days left until I leave for Australia. Crazy weird!

Mumford and Sons are coming to town for those of you that care. Yippie!! Should be a totally wicked show! :)

Here are the only pictures taken of me at my show in Montana. Bleh! So bad! I completely understand why Tristan hated watching her old gym meets. It's kind of depressing once you know what you look like.

I'm looking for some steel toed boots but can't seem to find any in my size. Do any of you fine lovely people know where I might be able to find some? I've looked at Walmart, Payless, Famous Footwear, and Reams. I've been told to look at IFA, Cal Ranch, and a military outlet store or something? Email me or leave a comment if you have any suggestions please! :)

For those who are unluck enough not to be my mom's favorite and haven't seen her new boat, cause let's be honest it's pretty much my mom's boat, here are some pictures of it.

Ok have a great day and birthday for some of you. Remember to stretch after reading this because it's strenuous work and I wouldn't want you to be sore unless you're too stubborn to stretch then I do want to you be sore. Ha ha! Take that you mules!!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggty Jig

Chola critters. So I'm back in the good ol' state of Utah now but wowie!!! I sure had a crazy adventure!! For those of you who are horrible awful people and don't keep up with my blog I've been in Montana competing the last week. Dressage and cross country went really well, but on Sunday I had my show jumping round and I rode like I only had half an arm and six legs with not much of a head. It was pretty bad. I knocked a rail or two and then had a refusal. It was all my fault. Scout was excited but still a good boy. I ended up 8th out of 22 in my class. All my friends did fairly well as well. Overall it was a good show even though Sunday was a little rough. It's a really pretty place. Pictures don't do it justice at all so you'll just have to take my word for it. It's some place I wouldn't mind living someday.

I am glad to be back home though. :D that was for any of you who are reading this in a scripty font, you know who you are. I have come to the very difficult decision to end my lease on Scout at the end of this month. I had planned to compete until I leave in September but I'm just not working enough to be able to do that, unfortunately :( It's a bummer because I've waited five freakin, years to do this again. That's right, not five regular old years but five FREAKIN years! I'm glad I was able to do what I've done, but I really wish I could have moved up a level like I wanted to but oh well I guess.

In other news, I was able to up my hours to 20 hours/week so that's groovy. Plus my boss randomly gave me a $25 gift card to this Indian place that I'm hopefully going to go to with Kelcie later tonight. How thoughtful of him. My family loves their new boat. Some of you have been able to take a trip on it and can vouch for my families good taste in boats or disagree whole-heartedly in the horrible way the boat is being used because everybody knows boats are only good for fishin. Dug, stupid BMorris's! Also, in a week and one day Band of Horses will be playing at Pioneer Park. It's a 5 buck show so anyone who wants to come should come. It'll be gr-r-r-r-r-r-reat!! But not quite as nice as rice.

I've no new information about the internship or anything else for that matter.

THE Event: XC Day

Hello one and all! So the event is going well. I had my dressage test on Thursday and it was alright. Not as good as I was hoping. I didn't get him quite like I wanted to but he was alright. I was a dumb dumb and messed up a little on my test. Freakin retard!!! I cantered too soon both directions but they didn't give me error points just gave me a lower score on that movement. Somehow I ended up with a 32.5 which put me at 7 out of 22. Pretty crazy. Apparently even tho I felt like I did kinda poorly I guess I did things that the judge was looking for. Crazy stuff mate. You never know what your score will be like because every judge looks for different things. Lani, my trainer, said she thought I'd get a score in the low forties. I'm glad that didn't happen!

Today was my favorite day. CROSS COUNTRY!!!!!! :D :D :D I didn't ride until 4:30 which is kinda lame because it means I had to wait around all bloody day....in fact it's 12:11 right now. I'm just typing this up in the past tense to waste some time until I can boogie!! I'll send this hopefully later tonight....but we'll see. Ok, so ten hours, twenty minutes, and fifteen seconds later I am back to tell you how my course ran. IT WAS FREAKIN AMAZING!!! Oh it was so fun!!!! We went around double clear which means we didn't get any time penalties or jump. AND I didn't go around the course at a million miles an hour!!! :D It was so good and he was such a good boy!! There were long stretches that I let him just run because I love going fast and so does he :) But I didn't let us get stupidly out of control. Ahhhh!!! I wish I could do that all over again! When I got off I had all my friend ask me which fence Scout stopped at. This confused me because he didn't stop. He NEVER stops, ever. Apparently the announcer said that I had two refusals at a fence and so all my friends were worried because it's so unlike Scout to stop at a fence on cross country. The score board said that I was double clear though and that's what really matters :) Yay!! What a fun 4 mins and 27 seconds!! :D

Friday morning at two thirty I woke up because I big lightning storm rolled in. I quickly go outta bed and with the help of our vet friend put my rain shield on my tent. The dumb wind was blowing just enough that I couldn't put it on alone. Luckily she was out taking care of her horses and I grabbed her before she went to bed. It's crazy weather here. It's so hot and humid in the day (40% here and 30% at home) but gets really chilly at night. The first morning I could see my breath when I woke up. It's suppose to be worse weather tomorrow :( I hear it's super hot at home tho I guess none of us in the BMorris clan would know because we're all out of town at the moment (sorry Trist, you're part of your own clan now).

The two jumping are my friends on their cross country courses. The first one is Ingrid and Miss and the second is Summer(the vet friend) and Tim :) This was Tims' second time going around prelim. He had no jump faults but 13.2 time faults. Prelim is two levels above what level I am at. Miss(the white looking horse) jumped the novice course just like I did with Scout.

Well, I suppose that's enough of me boring you with all my horsey competition talk. I'll let you know how Sunday goes. Peace out man.

THE Event!!!!!

Ok, so things have been a little whoo-hoo!! lately but fear not average humans!!! The end is not near!!!

A couple of weeks ago my family and I went to Wolf Creek for a night because my dad wanted to get away from the smokey freakin hot valley. It was a lot of fun to get out of the city but kinda sad to be up in the mountains because most of the pines up there are dead. I think it's caused by this beetle infestation we learned about in one of my many biology classes but I'm not sure. In any case there are a lot of dead trees up there and if a fire started up there it would blaze through there so fast. It was a fun trip and pictures of Wolf Creek can be seen my clicking on the blue link.

Because they are in no apparent order I've found all the pictures of me from the last show up in Odgen and put them on this post so that you can critique my position. These photos can be found herehere and here.

I didn't include all the pictures of my dressage on this blog because there were a few of them so when you click on the link just keep looking at the next one. I'm wearing a green belt and have my sleeves rolled up if you can't tell if it's me or not. I hate looking at my pictures. It just proves to me that I really can't ride. Very depressing.

Apparently my parents boat they got from trading in their other piece of crap is amazing and gives the best wake surfing rides ever, I don't know about this and will have to test it out myself because I'm willing to put my word on it. They will be in Powell, again, in just a day or two. Then back for a few weeks before heading back out. Thems and theres boat!

So I'm in Montana right now at the biggest event of my summer and maybe my last as well :( The Event at Rebecca Farms. It's super nice and I'm lovin it here :) Here are some pictures that I've taken so far. I'm sure more will come shortly. I won't be back until Monday sometime but it's all good :) I ride Thursday, Friday, and Sunday which is a bit unusual but it just means I get to help the people riding on Saturday :) Good times. Anywho, I better be off to bed. Long day tomorrow!! Probably freakin hot too!

Ok so the photos are taking forever to download onto this blog so you'll just have to wait to see them later. Just take my word for it that it's super pretty here and even you, the non-horsey person would like it here :) What a great place :) I can't wait for cross country day!!
