Parted Down The Middle

YES!! The rumors are true!! I am getting married!!! Whoda thunked?! Not me!! Not you!! Everyone is surprised!!! What is also surprising is that this is the first time you have heard this. I am marrying a very handsome, charming Irish man. Be jealous, be very jealous. We met through my weirdo of a best-friend sister, Elvis. She was pen pals with him. We are marrying next year and then moving to live in Ireland. Don't be too "green" with envy. I'll send lots of pictures back to show how much fun I'm having ;) The invites have been sent out this week so if you haven't received yours yet you should shortly. If you still don't there are two possibilities.  1) the post office lost your invite or 2) you weren't invited. But do not be offended!! Lot's of people weren't invited!!! Most people in fact! If you look at the grand scale of it all practically no one was invited. 62 people is nothing compared to the 7 billion on the planet!

This is what our invites turned out to be. Leo put together the picture compilation :) I think he did a very nice jorb but maybe baby that's just me. It's not like I think he's great or anything.

Everything is going well these days. Busy and crazy but well, most days. That's not to say that things couldn't be better *cough cough* like not having my fiancĂ© 4k+ miles away *cough cough* If you feel so inclined and would like to give a gift we would really appreciate it if you would please click on the donate button to the left of this and donate money. It's a very secure link to a Pay Pal donation spot. We would only like money because we are moving out of the country. If you'd rather give love that's nice too :)

School is going better. I didn't fail this last test and got a much better grade so that's freakin awesome :) That isn’t to say that if one of you brilliant 136’s were to come up to me and say you’d take the right of my tests that I’d turn ya flat down. Nope! I’d shake your hand and give you a paper with the dates and times of my test and tell you not to be late! Then I could go play with all the 91’s because they’re fun :) Leo passed part one of his driving test and is currently on the scout for a place for us, along with school, work, part two of the driving test, and sorting out his teeth. No stress no worries ;)

For those of you who are interested, Leo told me a funny joke the other day but it’s pretty inappropriate for a public place like this so if you would like to hear it drop me a line and I will share it with you :)

Something I can share with the public is this

As the hitchin’ time gets closer I’m more excited but also more nervous and scared to move to a new country. It will be good though and lots of fun :) I know it will be hard at times but that’s just part of the whole experience, right?

I hope that no one was offended by not receiving an invite. If you received an invite and you're offended that's not so bad ;) I am having a very small wedding and my mom pretty much had to pull my teeth (figuratively of course) to even do a luncheon. I only invited the people I was closest too because I wanted this to be as small as it could be. I don't like all that attention so the smaller the better I think. Anywho, I'll probably see most of you shortly, with all the holidays coming up.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned until next time!!

Through A Looking Glass

I promised someone I'd write a post soon and unfortunately it wasn't as soon as they were hoping I'm sure. Sorry about that individual. I hope you don't hate me :( I shall do my best to make it up to you with the following typed letters.

Life has been kinda crazy since the last time I blogged. Some down times but hay! That's life right, and hay is for horses so bring it on! ;) Also had good times too. Like having Tati and Clay to work with. If you haven't heard I am the go to man when you need a job apparently. Clay and Tati both work at OverstockDrugstore.com with me. Clay is in charge of eBay and Tati is receptionist/OverstockDrugstore.com in charge. They both seem to like their jobs which is good. Clay works part-time like me and has a second job up in Salt Lake City in a law firm.

As Tati tradition here are some FUN FACTS for your day :)
GarterTossing the wedding garter is an old time held tradition. It is said that in the days gone past, the bride and groom had to show proof of their wedding consummation. In order for it to be proven, it was common tradition to have people like family and friends come into the room with the couple. The "witnesses" would obtain the garter as "proof" of the consummation. Also having any article of the under garments was considered to be good luck so sometimes things would get out of hand in the newly wed's bedroom as crazed onlookers snatched at clothing to get for good luck. This was not appreciated much by the bride nor many grooms, hence the groom started tossing the garter out so that no one would need to obtain it themselves.
Wedding FlowersBefore the use of flowers in the bridal bouquet, women carried aromatic bunches of garlic, herbs, and grains to drive evil spirits away as they walked down the aisle had magical and meaningful definitions for the couple's future life. It was considered a symbol of happiness. Traditional Celtic bouquets included ivy, thistle and heather. If a bride carried sage (the herb of wisdom) she became wise; if she carried dill (the herb of lust) she became lusty. Flower girls carried sheaves of wheat, a symbol of growth, fertility, and renewal. Over time, these were replaced with flowers, symbolizing fertility and everlasting love. Specific flowers have special meanings in many cultures. In Hawaii, the bride and groom wear leis; newlyweds in India don floral headdresses. Orange blossoms, for example, mean happiness and fertility. Ivy means fidelity; lilies mean purity.
The Best ManMany centuries ago if a man wanted to marry a woman and the family didn't not approve he would forcefully take her, aka kidnap. The grooms best friend would accompany him and watch the door of the chapel to stop the family from interrupting the marriage ceremony.

More wedding histories can be found here.

I had to share this because it truly is deep and wise. Irish wisdom, never go to bed with an itchy arse or you will wake up with stinky fingers in the mornin'. From experience I think this was learned ;)

Karma is funny. Some of you may remember that spider that I may or may not have brought into my mom's room when I laid on her bed......shortly after that may or may not have happened I had a spider bit on my back. Nothing serious and it's gone now but I thought it was pretty funny :)

Not as funny as the lack of bladder control some people have...I'm talking about Aunt Tara running into a glass door and peeing her pants in shock there was a door there and Leo seeing a toilet and peeing on his pants. Over stimulated is the nice way I'd describe these individuals. Just can't handle everything so something as to go...

All Hallows Night was a good one. My witchy poo mom made a deliciously delightful spooky dinner. My dad was a monkey, I know it's not a stretch from the truth but at least the guy tried, mom was a witch, Shay was a rhythmatist, I think Miki was Rapunzel, I was Paul Bunion, Kelcie was Olive Snook, and Leo was a "Lady boy of Bangkok".

Life is a bit more full of baby now that Tristan and Clay moved into the basement. Good for my mom and clan Clistan as they will save heaps.

My bridal shower is this weekend...poo...School and work are alright. From the first test I am not doing so hot in my class, luckily I'm not failing my job. That would be horrible. What's not horrible is that Leo's kilt finally got here :) It got held in customs for having an item that unknown to us was illegal to bring into the USA. It was held in customs for about a week or two. But we finally got it :) He's going to look fan-freakin-tastic :)

I will see you all soon.
