Deflated Balloon

Hello one and all. I guess it's time for another post on the ole blog because Shayli has been harassing me about it. You know it's been a long time when your younger look-a-like with big boobs and all is whining that you haven't written on your blog for a long time. Not much more obvious things then that. Since you've last heard from me I haven't done a whole lot. Well, that's a bit of a lie, but shhhhh! If no one knows then it won't matter!

My family and I actually got back from Lake Powell. We had two trips planned with only a week to separate them. My family was dreading the long drive but I couldn't be happier. I'm glad I have a job and all but man all mighty! I have sure been glad to get a break from it. I'm very glad that I won't be doing this for more than seven months because it's purty draining. Those of you who have worked in the customer service industry for a year or more I applaude you. You deserve some kind of reward. I guess this is me, the person who hates people saying this, all the same some one should give them a dum dum or something. That's all I'm saying.

The first trip to Powell was fun but pretty crazy and freakin ridiculously hot. Ond day it was 112 or something stupid like that. That's according to my mom and you know mom's are always right. We stayed the first two night on the other Morris's houseboat and then the second night at the dock because we were having electrical issues with the houseboat. We had a real good time playin though and I am slowly becoming a better surfer. Someday soon I'll be ready to challenge Kelcie to a surf off. Kelcie! I almost challenge you to a du-du-du-du-duel!!!

The second Powell trip was great also. This time we went down to Page, which personally is more fun because there weren't so many boats in tiny little areas. It seems to me that Bullfrog is more narrow canyon type stuff and the Page area is much more open. In a few years it'll probably be the same though. The water is very very low. But regardless of which side is better, we still had a lot of fun. Sydney chipped a tooth and grandpa Micky didn't get wet once. Thanks you two for taking the bad mojo so the rest of us could have a blast ;) Though I don't know if much could get Syd down. That girl was always smiling and happy. She must have learned it from me. What a good older role model I am :D Pictures of this trip can be seen here.

Ok, example at the ridiculousness of some people that come into my job. This lady came in with her two boys. One of was about six, the other about 4. She wanted to email me some pictures to print and to have some documents printed as well. She had about 30 pictures she was going to email me and about 5 or so different documents to print. Her two boys were out of control. Grabbing things off shelves, getting in and out of the cart, running around, taking candy off the shelves and eating it, they were pretty much demons from hell. She's trying to send me these pictures and print these documents off while trying to control her kids. All she'd do is tell them to come here and when they would run away she'd say, "what did I say? come here". Of course her kids didn't take her seriously and kept being horrible. She came in about 40 mins before we closed and stayed about 10 mins after we did close. Because of when she came and how long she stayed I hadn't done any of my closing activities (cleaning, putting paper in the printers, etc) I didn't leave there until about 9:40. What she should have done is email me the pictures with instructions on what she wanted done and then said about when she'd be by to pick them up. That would have saved everyone greif. Her kids were so bad that when I was telling my parents about it and was telling them what she'd say to her kids, my dog got up and came to me thinking I was talking to her. My dog listens better than her children. So very sad. Ok, I'm done with my tirad on stupid people I deal with :D

As all or many of you may know Tristan had her baby yesterday July 12 sometime around 5 pm, I think. Not 100% sure on that one. This is what the Clayton had to say about it.

"Well everybody, Lilja Belle Soelberg is here! Thanks for your love and prayers. Tristan pushed for 45 minutes and did great. She tore a tad, but nothing serious. Lilja is 6 lbs 11 oz and 21" long. Basically, she's long and skinny with a sweet cone head for now. She's been really quiet and latched on to breast feed right away on both sides. Her eyes are blue and she has light brown hair. She's a beautiful girl and so far an awesome baby! The nurses want Tris to keep feeding her for a while as they come in and out checking vitals. Eventually, they'll have me bathe her and we'll move to another room so my wonderful wife can have dinner. Please don't everyone rush over since we want some time with her first."

She is a skinny baby with a quieter cry, which was nice. It's perfect karma because my parents make fun of this waiter at a place we go to eat saying he sounds like The Count from Sesame Street. So who does their new grandchild sound like? The Count. Whaa whaa whaa! It goes when it cries. Everything went well for them during the delivery and such. Trist went to the hospital at midnight the night before because she was having really bad contractions and then they ended up keeping her because her amniotic fluids were really low so they induced her. Clistan are both very tired but stan looked very exhausted. Everyone is happy and I'm mom has been consumed by baby fever but maybe you'll join her once you see the little thing too ;)
