Fly

Back again, and this time I bring delightables! Don't know what a delightable is? Well, then you probably won't really care when you find out what they are. For those of you who are in anticipation waiting, wondering, and hoping that a delightable is what you are thinking of, the answer is you are probably correct! No I do not have mind reading abilities but I have the closest thing too them, chocolate!!! Horray! All mysteries of life are solved with chocolate :) Not even Aubrey can deny that chocolate is magnificent.

Ravensdale was magical, as you may or may not discover if you ever go there yourself, but what's even more magical is that we have the internet!!! Yippie skippy horray!! Thank you chocolate for resorting balance and order the this apartment by giving us internet. Grff! I was eating South African grapes and sitting on the floor but the edge of the couch feels like a better option for this posty post. I shall now bestow upon you the first delightable, wedding pictures!! (which can be viewed here) For those of you who are looking for a photographer, for any occasion and liked my photos go to this website www.galleryphotography.com. Kelly, the photographer, is a super nice guy and is really easy to work with. Plus he takes darn good pictures :) Also, we are horrible people I know! But, thank you cards for the wedding should be mailed out soon!!

Shortly after going to Ravensdale, we had car and tooth trouble. Leo's filling for his root canal came off and his car (according to the mechanic) had 4 of his 6 cylinders needed to be replaced. Along with some spark plugs and a front light. The 4 cylinders were misfiring and since the car is due soon for it's annual MOT (kind of like safety and emissions) we figured it was best to get it sorted now so the car would pass it's inspection. That and we wanted to had a car to drive. While he was getting tooth and car fixed, I went for a hike up to Scrabo Tower. It was a nice mostly sunny day, which are few and far between these days.

My hairs are getting long and don't know when I cut these greasy locks so I may see again! Seeing is so over-rated!

Not much news about my immigration application. I sent an email inquiring about my application and all I got back was this response.
Your application was received in this office on 21/01/2014.

Applications are processed in chronological order. Due to the volume of
applications on hand, it may take 5-6 weeks from the date of receipt before
a response is issued from this office. Once your documents have been
processed, they will be returned to you and any outstanding documents will
be requested.
I get to sit and wait :) Hopefully I don't have a secretary bum by the time I finally get a job! Nah, that would never happen with as much tromping around this wee island Leo makes me do!

After Scrabo we got our internet, which was just in time for a long set of work days for Leo which meant a lot of down time for me. Fortunately my body decided to get a urinary tract infection during this week. It's not fortunate that I got a UTI but that I got one this week when I could be home near a toilet to pee all the time. So for a week I just peed constantly. That's what it felt like anyway. Luckily I caught it before it was bad.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

We have been watching a lot of Avatar: The Last Air Bender. Good stuff :) Cartoons rock. The live action is stupid, that's from reliable sources, so don't judge based on that. Rock cartoons, rock. Saturday after love day we spent some time in Belfast. It was really cool and I got to see a really pretty old bar, plus some other cool old things too :)

Recently our latest adventure took us to Carlingford. It's suppose to be the place where the last leprechauns live. Supposedly, in 1989 P.J. O'Hare found a little suit and bones that looked to belong to a small person. In the pants pockets were found four gold coins. This is said to be real proof of leprechauns in Ireland. Yep, in the long history of Ireland it took until the late 80's before the devils decided to really prove their existence. Don't blame them for slipping up in the 80's, those were some real crazy times, you and your 80's days know what I'm talking about. Later after O'Hare died the coins went missing and his friend, and non-believer, McCloitte, found the coins in a wall that he was fixing ( their walls here are stone). He thought that was weird but went on his way. Some time later, McCloitte was out walking his dog when he came upon some leprechauns in a meadow talking away not minding McCloitte or his dog, but the dog and him were so astonished that they just froze and stared until the leprechauns slowly went about there business and left. He shook he's head in a amazement and wondered how he would explain it all to his wife. Deciding that it would be best not to mention what had happened he hurried home. When he got home his why asked him where he had been all day. He told her was just out on his morning walk and only gone an hour as usual. She told him he had not been gone only an hour and that it was eight in the evening. To explain himself he felt obliged to explain what he had seen. She, being a sensible woman, didn't believe the fool about bigfoot, I mean leprechauns. McCloitte goes on to meet with this leprechaun a bunch of times and learns the history of leprechauns in Ireland. He finds out there use to be thousands of leprechauns all over the island but now the last few remain near Carlingford and that there are only 263 left because that's how many people in Ireland believe in them now. What we can learn from this story is that Grandpa Micky had a sneak visit to Ireland in his younger years and shared his tequila and peyote buttons with the Irish. We did take some cool pictures of Carlingford so click here to see them.

Some weird things about Ireland that I've noticed is that they don't have mixed nicely warm water here. It's either coming from the hot or the cold pipe and sometimes you're lucky and it mixes and others you'll get a stretch of burn then ice. Some places have separate taps for hot and cold. Same problem there. Wash your hands in ice water or boiling lava water. Your choice. Also, I never dusted much at home, that was always Shayli's job (thanks Shay) but it seems to me like there is an unusual amount of dust here. I think maybe this diet of fried foods is making me loose skin cells at a faster rate. I'm turning into a snake. We all knew it would happen eventually :/ Another weird thing I've noticed is that the medicine boxes have brail on them. None of the other boxes of things I've bought have brail on them, just medicines. I guess in Ireland the blind shop for medicines but not for groceries or cookies. I am glad I'm not totally blind or I would starve! At least those blind guys have pills to keep them going. Also, grood jorb Jay-rod for scaring those girls at the graveyard! I wish I could have been there to seen them jump and then punch you. Dang it!! Now for some delightables, Leo's Home Video right here. My version there.

Whoever said the road less traveled on was the better of the two roads never walked in Ireland. That less traveled road or path will give you sopping wet feet and you won't be able to wear your shoes for at least a week, if you're lucky. Due to the fact things take so long to dry here. Throw them in the dryer I hear you say, well I'd love to so send one over for me because otherwise I'm hanging them out on the line to dry in the rain like all the other clothes.

It recently snowed in Dundalk but was all melted in an hour. I took pictures to prove I'm not going crazy from being alone so long.

Well that's it from me this time. Enjoy the rest of these pictures and cya soon or something!

  1. Thanks for the pictures and video Kaiya and Leo. Although we couldn't really hear anything on your tower video it was still pretty. Maybe I'll use that Leprechaun excuse next time your Mom asks me where I've been.
It sounds like you should shower more often though:)
