Back from Boston

Home again, home again jiggity jig. So as you read this highly enjoyable post be sure to include my new Boston accent into all the appropriate words. Christine, the Phipps clan, and New England were all pretty swell. It was a really good trip to a really different place. First of all I still can't get over how many trees there are, how they're everywhere, and that it's not in the mountains but sea level where all these trees are. Trees, trees, trees...so many trees. You might say it's the perfect place for evil giraffe to live. Clarification for those of you who might not know, when a word or two is blue and underlined that means it's a link to something, usually a video, that will clarify something previously mentioned. So click on it. This is how my wonderful trip went in a short summary. I was picked up and taken to University of New Hampshire (UNH) where I hung out with my good pal Christine. The next day was spent with her horse and that evening we drove down to Boston and saw Sherlock Holmes. Very good movie by the way, **** <- four stars. The next day we went to the museum of science and saw science stuff. And even though Christine wasn't able to catch the mouse with the snake glove I'll still be friends with her (someone has to ;) ). Later that night we walked some of the Trail of Freedom. It's this trail that takes you to historical places thru out Boston. Pretty neato keeno. The next day we took a quick trip to  Rhode Island and then headed to Maine where I stood in the Atlantic Ocean. 2/7 of the worlds oceans have had the privilege of me standing in them so far. I shrieked in horror (remember the accent) when the tide reached me. How anyone would want to surf in that water is more than my brain can imagine. I had my first sea food from the sea and not from shipping crates from the sea and it was pretty good. I got the combo and tried ha-something-or-other-fish-I-can't-ever-remember, shrimp, lobster, and sea scallops. It was pretty good. We spent the night in NH and then did stuff with her horse in the day but ended up in Boston that night. The next morning we walked the Freedom Trail -2. It was pretty neat. It was a short trip and I could've stayed longer but it was very good to finally see Christine again and meet her Bravo pony. I had a really good time in the East Coast and would like to thank Christine and her family again for a very fun trip. Pictures can be see here. There is a short narration by Christine you should watch because she is a fabulous narrator, AND because I sound super cool and not manly at all.

Maybe more later. I haven't decided yet....

  2. It is pretty small Jar-rod but that's ok because I'm almost done with my undergrad so I won't need one for much longer :)

  3. Maybe the Russian are reading your blog to learn English. If that's the case then they aren't gonna learn much. :)
