The Two Towers, A Pond, And Some Green

Hey hey hey!!!

No I am not fat Albert but it’s nice to see you too...sheesh! Some people and their asumptions. So yesterday was a grood ol’ day like ;) I woke him up at seven, which for him is RIDICULOUSLY early. Surprisingly, it didn’t kill him and we even walked for forever and back again. We started the day with a bowl of good old cornflakes. Yup, good ol’ cornflakes :) That was followed by a nice walk thru the town to Scrabo Tower. All I can say is WOW! Kelcie this place is every little Evils’s dream. Sorry if that is a blow to close to your heart up it is very true. It is greener than anywhere I’ve ever been and has so many neat trees and little bushes filled groves to make any creature of Middle Earth prance about and feel gleefully like they are home. Now I’ve never been to New Zealand but dang Gina! It’s pretty here!!

This is my motto for my trip.

After climbing my first twisty tower staircase we made our way through a foresty area to a little pond. Once we were done taking a gander at that view, and Leo was done eating my dust and slippin down hills and such, we headed back to his house where he cooked me up one of his famous 15 min meals for lunch, a bacon sarny. All that is is three pieces of this fat bacon stuff cooked in oil, briefly, and then placed on toasted bread with brown sauce. For those of you who don’t know what brown sauce Leo  is firstly disappointed in you and second of all my best description is that it’s really weird stuff. Despite me not being a brown sauce advocate, much to Leo’s disappointment, it was actually pretty tasty.

With our rumbly tumbly tummies silenced we headed back out to a duck pond/bird sanctuary. It was a pretty little bit of land and a nice easy walk about. As we headed back he got what he claims was a dehydration headache, but I think it was a caffeine headache because man, that dude was SO much more perky after he had that Cherry CokeTM it was unreal. I will admit that he does drink a freakin ton, so it is possible that he was dehydrated for a Cherry CokeTM. Getting that drink in him we headed up the straight boring road, his description not mine, to a wooded area that led us to Helens Tower. Again, WOW. So freakin beautiful!. Out of the two towers he said this one was older and built for a sick woman. You can actually rent it out and stay in a tower, which is why we weren’t able to go inside and check this one out. That was all fine and dandy tho because he just showed me around the forest. He showed me some of his bike runs and this cool old ruin. He thinks it’s an old monastery but I’ve no clue what it was. For those of you who don’t know, Leo is a downHill mountain biker. All you need to know is that means he’s cuckoo banana crackers crazy, with a alight dab of cool.

On our way back from that adventure we met up with Mick. When they get together, man those two dudes can talk! I guess that’s why they’re best mates though :) After a quick stop at the shop, and a Red BullTM  and Dr. PepperTM  later, we finished our movie from the night before and watched Casino Royale. That was the end of my second day in Ireland. I took a lot freaken more pictures this day than the first so click here to look at all the pictures.

  1. Wha?! I cannot see the pictures! You have ruined my day. You promised pictures and there are none. You liar face. :( Sounds like those towers were amazing and I would LOVE to see them, so if you get a moment today to fix this little error and clue us all in to your adventures I would greatly appreciate it.

    Sincerely,
    Sister #2
